no but being strong is part of what makes an athlete

the mental aspect is also another part of it

So if i go and work out everyday the rest of my life and become strong that will make me an athlete?

    hardly

    you also missed my point

thats one piece of the puzzle

a piece that upton is missing

    all he has is speed

hes just fast.......mentally hes a mess as can been seen by him being benched more than once this year for mental gaffs

when you look at "athletes" they have all those things......not just any one piece of it

    Re: I wasn't alive for Reggie's heroics

So ur saying the best athletes are the strongest, fastest, most agile, smartest players on the field? I dont think thats true theres different types of athletes. Some people may not be as strong or fast as someone but they still beat them.

    Re: I wasn't alive for Reggie's heroics

the best "athletes" are very often the ones that posses all of those qualities

there are great players that are missing some of those and great athletes who dont equate to very good players

but yes......the best "athletes" are those that usually have the whole package or close to it
